The decision, based on the Karnataka Cinema Regulations Act 1964, followed requests from minority organizations and a review of the trailer.

The film, scheduled for nationwide release on June 7, 2024, addresses overpopulation and features Annu Kapoor, Manoj Joshi, and Paritosh Tripathi. Producers, who have heavily invested in the project, are now facing significant challenges due to the ban.

‘Hamare Baarah’ is jointly produced by Birender Bhagat, Ravi S. Gupta, Sanjay Nagpal, and Sheo Balak Singh, and directed by Kamal Chandra.
