During a conversation with fellow contestants, the actor opened up about his dating life and claimed that some of his former partners label him a “narcissist” after their relationships don’t end in marriage.
Speaking about his personal experiences, Kushal said, “Jab ladkiyan mujhe date karti hain aur shaadi nahi kar pati toh mujhe narcissist bulati hain.” His statement quickly went viral on social media, sparking mixed reactions among viewers. While some believed the actor was making a light-hearted observation based on his past relationships, others criticised the comment, calling it insensitive and controversial.
Kushal has been one of the most talked-about contestants on The Alliance, often making headlines for his unfiltered opinions. His latest remark comes shortly after another viral moment from the show, where he was accused of taking a dig at his former girlfriend, Gauahar Khan.
In the now-viral clip, Kushal was seen chatting with Gauahar’s husband, Zaid Darbar, during a gym session. After Zaid mentioned borrowing a cigarette from him, Kushal jokingly remarked, “Tujhe saare meri cheezin pasand aati hai.” The comment was widely interpreted by viewers as an indirect reference to Gauahar, leaving fellow contestants visibly surprised. Arslan Goni was even seen stepping in and asking them not to make such remarks.
The exchange triggered strong reactions online, with many social media users criticising Kushal’s joke, while others questioned Zaid Darbar’s response. The viral clip further fueled discussions surrounding the former couple’s relationship.
For those unfamiliar, Kushal Tandon and Gauahar Khan met during Bigg Boss 7 in 2013 and began dating inside the reality show. Their relationship ended the following year. Gauahar later married choreographer and content creator Zaid Darbar in December 2020, and the couple are now parents to two sons.
