February 7, 2025: Mamta Kulkarni Reflects on Karan Arjun Memories and Her Interaction With Shah Rukh and Salman Khan
Mamta Kulkarni, a prominent Bollywood actress of the 90s who has since embraced spirituality, recently shared her experiences from her acting days during an appearance on Aap Ki Adalat with Rajat Sharma. In the candid interview, Kulkarni opened up about her interactions with Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan during the filming of the 1995 blockbuster Karan Arjun.
Mamta revealed that while shooting a dance sequence choreographed by Chinni Prakash, she experienced subtle hostility from the two leading actors. “When I was called for my shot, both Shah Rukh and Salman passed me on the stairs, sniggering. I remained quiet and headed to the set,” she recalled.

She further detailed how the Khans laughed at her performance from behind a bush while she delivered her solo dance step perfectly in one take. “The next shot was theirs, and they had to perform on their knees amidst 5,000 people. It took several retakes, and the director eventually called pack-up.”
According to Mamta, the tension culminated when Salman allegedly stopped her and shut the door on her face as everyone rushed to their rooms.
