Mardaani 3, one of the most awaited Bollywood films of the year, is officially set to hit theatres soon. Yash Raj Films announced on Saturday that Rani Mukerji will reprise her iconic role as fearless supercop Shivani Shivaji Roy in the third instalment of the popular franchise.
The film is scheduled to release in cinemas on January 30, earlier than its previously announced February 27 date. Sharing the update on social media, the production house confirmed that Shivani will once again be seen on a high-stakes mission, this time to rescue missing girls across India.
The newly released poster shows Rani Mukerji holding a gun, staring straight into the camera with steely resolve. Behind her stand several young girls, their faces marked with the word “missing,” hinting at the dark and intense case at the heart of the film.
Fans reacted enthusiastically to the announcement, flooding social media with praise for Rani Mukerji and excitement for the franchise’s return. Many called her the soul of Mardaani, while others said they were already counting down to the release.
Mardaani 3 is directed by Abhiraj Minawala and produced by Aditya Chopra. Speaking earlier about the film, Rani Mukerji said the third chapter would push the adrenaline levels higher than before. She described the film as “dark, deadly and brutal,” adding that the team is committed to living up to the expectations of audiences who love the franchise.
With Shivani Shivaji Roy back in action, Mardaani 3 promises another intense, hard-hitting cinematic experience.
