January 30, 2025: Actor and model Milind Soman, accompanied by his wife Ankita Konwar, took part in the religious rituals at the ongoing Mahakumbh Mela in Prayagraj on the auspicious occasion of Mauni Amavasya. Milind, known for his fitness and spiritual inclinations, was seen taking a holy dip in the Triveni Sangam, where the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers meet.
Milind shared his experience on Instagram, posting a series of images from the spiritual moment. He was dressed in a traditional yellow dhoti while immersing himself in the sacred waters. In his heartfelt post, Milind expressed how deeply moving and humbling the experience was for him, reflecting on the vastness of existence and the significance of every moment in life.
He also took a moment to acknowledge the tragic stampede that occurred earlier on Wednesday at the Mahakumbh, sending his condolences to the families of the victims. His post included the message, “Even though my heart is full, I am saddened by the events of last night, and my prayers are with the families who lost loved ones. Har Har Gange! Har Har Mahadev!!”
On the same day, veteran actress-turned-politician Hema Malini, who is a Member of Parliament for the BJP, also took a dip at the Triveni Sangam. She expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to take part in the sacred ritual on such an important day, calling it a blessing. Hema Malini has been actively involved in religious and spiritual events and her presence at the Kumbh added to the star power of the gathering.
Other celebrities, including comedian Sunil Grover, filmmaker Kabir Khan, singer Guru Randhawa, actor Avinash Tiwary, and several others, also participated in the grand event. They were seen immersing themselves in the divine waters, joining millions of devotees in the auspicious rituals.
The Mahakumbh Mela, which is held every 12 years, is one of the largest spiritual gatherings in the world. It draws millions of devotees and visitors, including numerous celebrities, politicians, and public figures, who come to seek blessings, cleanse their souls, and witness the grand spectacle of faith and devotion.
