June 1, 2025: In a momentous triumph, Opal Suchata Chuangsri has been crowned the winner of the 72nd Miss World pageant, marking a historic first for Thailand. The 23-year-old beauty queen, model, and humanitarian called it the “best day” of her life, expressing immense pride in bringing home Thailand’s first-ever Miss World title.

“This is our very first Miss World crown, and we’ve waited more than seventy years for it,” Chuangsri said in a heartfelt post-win interview. “I truly believe my people are as proud as I am.”

Opal’s victory is also a major milestone for her ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ project, which played a key role in her journey to the crown. She spoke openly about the challenges she faced along the way, saying,

“It wasn’t easy to win a title like Miss World. But when something really matters to your heart, the effort becomes meaningful.”

The Thai beauty queen expressed a strong cultural affinity with India, particularly its film industry and former Miss Worlds.

“That’s a tough one!” she said when asked about her favorite Indian Miss World. “I actually met one of my favorites today—Manushi Chhillar. I also truly admire Priyanka Chopra. I love both of them so much.”

Opal also revealed she is a fan of Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt, especially in her role as Gangubai in Gangubai Kathiawadi.

“Oh my God, I loved it. It was so inspiring,” she exclaimed.
