NBC Greenlights ‘The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins’ with Tracy Morgan, Daniel Radcliffe in Lead Roles

NBC has officially given a series order to The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins, a comedy headlined by Tracy Morgan and Daniel Radcliffe. The announcement comes ahead of NBCUniversal’s 2025 upfronts and marks a high-profile reunion for key talent behind 30 Rock.

Per the network’s logline, the series follows a disgraced former football star, played by Morgan, on a mission to clean up his image and regain public favor. Radcliffe co-stars in the ensemble cast alongside Erika Alexander, Bobby Moynihan, Precious Way, and Jalyn Hall.

The show brings back the creative powerhouse trio of 30 Rock — with Robert Carlock and Sam Means writing and executive producing, and Tina Fey also serving as executive producer. Rhys Thomas (SNL) is attached to direct the pilot. The project is being produced under Universal Television, where Fey has an overall deal.

This will be a comedic reunion for Morgan, who played Tracy Jordan on 30 Rock throughout its acclaimed run, earning an Emmy nomination in 2009. Radcliffe, meanwhile, previously collaborated with the creative team in Netflix’s Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs the Reverend.

The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins joins NBC’s 2025 fall slate alongside returning comedies St. Denis Medical and Happy’s Place. The network also has two more comedy pilots in the pipeline: Stumble and an untitled project from Sierra Teller Ornelas.

The pickup follows the cancellation of Night Court and Lopez vs. Lopez, signaling a shift in NBC’s primetime comedy landscape with high-concept, talent-driven series leading the way.
