The latest music video Body Roll, featuring Nora Fatehi and Yo Yo Honey Singh, has sparked a debate online soon after its release, with several viewers accusing the makers of heavily borrowing visual elements from Love, Death + Robots episode Jibaro.
While the song has received praise for its elaborate production design and Nora Fatehi’s performance, social media users quickly pointed out striking similarities between the music video and the critically acclaimed animated short that premiered on Netflix in 2022.
Social Media Draws Comparisons With ‘Jibaro’
The Body Roll music video opens with a man dressed in medieval-inspired clothing running through a dense forest before reaching a lake. The visuals focus on his rugged appearance, elaborate jewellery and tattoo-covered look.
Soon after, Nora Fatehi emerges dramatically from the lake wearing golden attire, ornate headgear and heavy jewellery. The sequence then transitions into a stylised dance performance featuring the actor alongside backup dancers.
Viewers online were quick to compare these visuals with Jibaro, directed by Alberto Mielgo. The episode follows a conquistador wandering through a jungle who encounters a mysterious siren-like figure covered in gold ornaments emerging from a lake.
Many users argued that the visual treatment, costume styling and overall atmosphere in Body Roll appeared too similar to the Netflix episode to be merely coincidental.

Viral Comparison Videos Fuel Online Debate
The discussion gained further momentum after content creator Filmy Sonia shared side-by-side clips from Body Roll and Jibaro on Instagram. The comparison video quickly went viral and triggered divided reactions online.
Some users accused the music video creators of copying the visual concept of Jibaro, while others defended the makers, saying the project seemed more “inspired” by the animated short rather than directly imitating it.
Nora Fatehi herself reacted to the comparison video. Responding in the comments section, the actor wrote, “Inspired and obsessed! Now we have a real life version.”
‘Jibaro’ Became One Of Netflix’s Most Acclaimed Animated Episodes
Created by Tim Miller, Love, Death + Robots is widely known for its standalone animated stories exploring themes of fantasy, horror, science fiction and technology.
Among all the episodes from the anthology series, Jibaro emerged as one of the most talked-about chapters from Season 3 and received widespread praise for its experimental storytelling, haunting visuals and unique animation style.
The online comparisons have now placed Body Roll at the centre of a growing debate around artistic inspiration and originality in music videos.
