Content creator Orhan Awatramani, popularly known as Orry, has once again sparked controversy after taking fresh digs at YouTuber and political commentator Dhruv Rathee during a recent podcast appearance.
The social media personality openly criticised Dhruv and accused him of selectively discussing issues that support his preferred narrative. His latest comments have reignited a feud that first gained attention last year.
Orry Says Dhruv Rathee Used Him as Clickbait
Speaking on the KK Create podcast, Orry explained why he is not fond of Dhruv Rathee.
According to Orry, his frustration began when Dhruv allegedly used his image in a video thumbnail despite barely mentioning him in the content.
“I don’t like him because he used me as a thumbnail on his video. I got tricked into watching a 20-minute video and I was there for only two seconds. You used me as clickbait,” Orry said during the conversation.
He added that watching the entire video only to find himself briefly featured was disappointing.
Accuses Dhruv of Covering Topics Selectively
Orry further claimed that Dhruv chooses topics based on what suits his viewpoint.
He said the YouTuber often discusses issues that align with his narrative while avoiding others that deserve attention.
Although Orry admitted he does not regularly follow Dhruv’s content, he argued that some of the opinions shared by the YouTuber do not make sense to him.
He also took a personal swipe at Dhruv, commenting on his presentation style and online content.
Nickname Remark Adds Fuel to the Feud
During the podcast, Orry revealed that he uses a nickname for Dhruv Rathee that he had come across online.
The remark quickly caught attention on social media and added another layer to the ongoing public disagreement between the two internet personalities.
As clips from the podcast spread online, users shared mixed reactions. While some supported Orry’s criticism, others defended Dhruv and questioned Orry’s comments.
How the Dispute Started
The tension between the two personalities is not new.
In 2025, Orry publicly defended Janhvi Kapoor after Dhruv Rathee released a video discussing beauty standards in the film industry. In that video, Dhruv claimed that Janhvi had undergone cosmetic procedures.
Reacting to the video, Orry commented on social media and questioned Dhruv’s motives. He also described the YouTuber as “anti-national” and accused him of creating such content to attract attention.
At the time, Orry stated that Janhvi probably did not even know who Dhruv was, while continuing to criticise the creator in multiple comments.
Dhruv Rathee Previously Faced Criticism From Celebrities
Dhruv Rathee has also been criticised by several public figures in the past over his political opinions.
Actors Rupali Ganguly and Gul Panag were among those who disagreed with remarks he made about Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Gul Panag had responded by saying that criticism of a government is a normal part of democracy. However, she felt that diminishing the office of India’s Prime Minister on foreign soil was not the right form of dissent.
