Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh is reportedly set to take a break from his upcoming film Pralay to spend time with his family following the arrival of his second child with actress Deepika Padukone. The actor is expected to begin shooting for the zombie thriller next month and continue the first schedule until Diwali before stepping away for paternity leave.
According to a report, the production of Pralay will be paused after the completion of its initial shooting schedule, with filming expected to resume in 2027. The film is being directed by Jai Mehta, who has co-written the screenplay with Vishal Kapoor, known for his work on Lootere.
Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, who tied the knot in Italy in 2018, welcomed their first child, daughter Dua, in September 2024. The couple has maintained a private approach toward parenthood, choosing to keep their daughter away from the public eye while occasionally sharing glimpses of their family life.
Earlier this year, the couple announced that they were expecting their second child through a joint social media post. The announcement featured their daughter Dua holding a positive pregnancy test kit, creating excitement among fans. Reports suggest that Deepika Padukone is currently in the third trimester of her pregnancy.

Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone continues to have a packed professional schedule. The actress recently completed a shooting schedule for Siddharth Anand’s King, where she reunites with her Jawan co-star Shah Rukh Khan. She is also set to appear alongside Allu Arjun in Atlee’s upcoming sci-fi action entertainer Raaka.
