Speculation surrounding Harshad Chopda and Shivangi Joshi’s bond on Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa has been making headlines for weeks. Now, recently evicted contestant Riyaz Aly has shared his perspective on their relationship, dismissing claims that the duo is creating a “fake love angle” for the reality show.
In an exclusive conversation, Riyaz Aly addressed the ongoing buzz surrounding Harshad and Shivangi. According to the influencer, viewers are smart enough to recognise when relationships on reality shows are genuine or scripted. “It’s a reality show, so acting won’t help. The audience is very smart—they’ll catch it,” he said.
When asked whether there was any romantic connection between the two actors inside the Lock Upp house, Riyaz maintained that he never witnessed anything beyond friendship. “I feel like wo log friends hain, to main usko fake nahi bolunga. Kyunki main reh ke aaya hoon. They are friends, plus unhone saath mein pehle show bhi kiya hua hai,” he explained.
Riyaz further clarified that while Harshad and Shivangi share a close bond, he did not observe any romantic relationship developing during his time in the house. “Mereko aisa koi love angle dikha nahi tha andar,” he added, putting to rest speculation that the pair was deliberately creating a romance for the cameras.
Harshad Chopda and Shivangi Joshi previously starred together in Sony TV’s Bade Achhe Lagte Hain – Naya Season, where they played the lead roles of Rishabh and Bhagyashree. Their on-screen chemistry earned widespread appreciation from fans, and their reunion on Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa has once again fuelled relationship rumours among viewers and fellow contestants.
Meanwhile, Lock Upp recently witnessed a major shake-up with Riyaz Aly’s eviction after he landed in the bottom two alongside Shreya Kalra. Sunita Ahuja also exited the reality show due to health concerns. Reports suggest that the competition could see a mid-week double eviction, with Madhuri Grover and Sufi Motiwala reportedly at risk, although the makers have not confirmed the development. There is also speculation about Asim Riaz and Ruru Thakur entering the show as wildcard contestants, but no official announcement has been made so far.
