The 61st edition of the Miss India pageant reached a breathtaking conclusion on Saturday, April 18, 2026, as Sadhvi Satish Sail of Goa was crowned Miss India 2026. Held at the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, the grand finale celebrated the “Daughters of This Soil” in a star-studded event.

Sadhvi, who captivated the judges with her poise and a bold, architectural silver-and-black monochromatic gown, was crowned by her predecessor, Nikita Porwal. She is now set to represent India on the global stage at the Miss World 2027 pageant.

Joining Sadhvi in the winner’s circle were Rajnandini Pawar from Maharashtra, who was named 1st runner-up, and Sree Advaita, representing the Union Territory, who secured the 2nd runner-up position. The top three stood out during a grueling Q&A round, showcasing a blend of intellect and contemporary glamour. Rajnandini embraced a “modern princess” aesthetic in a blush-pink floral ensemble, while Sree Advaita stunned in a regal, body-hugging gold evening gown featuring intricate sequin work.

The evening was hosted by the charismatic duo of Maniesh Paul and Sarah-Jane Dias, with the atmosphere electrified by high-octane performances from Bollywood star Ishaan Khatter. The event also highlighted the shifting landscape of Indian pageantry, with former Miss World representative Nikita Porwal preparing for her upcoming journey to Vietnam for the 75th Miss World anniversary later this year.
