Samay Raina has dismissed comedian Sunil Pal’s claim that he turned down a ₹25 lakh offer to appear on India’s Got Latent. Responding with his trademark humour, Samay took to Instagram Stories and labelled the viral report as “fake news,” reigniting their long-running public feud.

The controversy began after Sunil Pal, while speaking to paparazzi, claimed that Samay had personally invited him to join India’s Got Latent for ₹25 lakh. According to Sunil, he refused the offer because he did not want to be part of a show that used abusive language. He alleged that despite being told he didn’t have to use profanity himself, he declined the invitation.

Reacting to the reports, Samay shared a screenshot of the news article on his Instagram Story and sarcastically wrote, “Fake news 😂 Sunil Pal ko ₹25 lakh? 😂” His witty response quickly grabbed attention on social media, with fans praising the comedian’s sharp sense of humour.

The latest exchange adds another chapter to the ongoing rivalry between the two comedians, which began during the India’s Got Latent controversy in 2025. After Ranveer Allahbadia’s controversial remarks on the show sparked nationwide outrage, Sunil Pal had strongly criticised Samay, urging him to learn clean comedy from Kapil Sharma. He had even gone as far as calling Samay and Ranveer “terrorists” over the show’s content.

Samay later fired back in his comeback stand-up special Still Alive, where he described Sunil as “insecure” and “frustrated.” The duo also crossed paths on The Great Indian Kapil Show, where Samay roasted Sunil on stage. More recently, Samay revived his viral “brush” joke about Sunil during the premiere episode of India’s Got Latent Season 2, prompting another humorous response from the veteran comedian.

Meanwhile, India’s Got Latent Season 2 continues to attract viewers with celebrity panellists and viral moments. The opening episode featured Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, while Episode 2 included Haarsh Limbachiyaa, Kiku Sharda and Chandan Prabhakar. The reality-comedy show is currently streaming on Netflix and YouTube.
