The family of television actress Sanchita Ugale is still coming to terms with her tragic death. Her grandfather, Gopinath, has now shared an emotional tribute, remembering the 22-year-old actress as a talented and hardworking young woman who achieved success entirely on her own.

Speaking to the media after her death on June 14, Gopinath said the family is unable to understand what difficulties Sanchita may have been facing in the days before the incident.

He described her as a gifted actress who earned recognition through dedication and perseverance, without any support from influential industry figures.

“Everything She Achieved Came Through Hard Work”

According to him, she had no mentor or “godfather” in the television industry. Instead, she worked hard to create opportunities for herself and establish her identity as an actress.

He also stated that she had no major disputes with anyone and appeared to be living a successful and fulfilling life.

“Everything she achieved came through her own hard work and determination. She was an exceptionally capable young woman who made a name for herself across Ahmednagar district,” he said.

Furthermore, he added that the family still does not know what emotional struggles she may have been dealing with.

Popularly Known as ‘Pooja’ Among Viewers

Gopinath also spoke about the immense popularity Sanchita gained through her role as Pooja in the TV serial Saajan Ghar.

The character became so popular that many people began calling her “Pooja” instead of Sanchita. Friends, relatives, and viewers across the region reportedly identified her by the screen name.

As a result, the role left a lasting impression on audiences and became one of the most memorable parts of her acting career.

What Police Have Said So Far

According to police officials, the incident occurred on June 14 at Sanchita’s residence in Nalasopara East, Maharashtra.

Family members rushed her to a nearby hospital after discovering her, but doctors declared her dead on arrival.

Police have registered an Accidental Death Report (ADR) under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita based on a complaint filed by her father, Machhindra Ugale.

Meanwhile, authorities have stated that the investigation remains ongoing and all possible angles are being examined.
