April 16, 2025: Veteran actors Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta have officially completed shooting for their much-anticipated film Vadh 2, the spiritual sequel to their 2022 psychological thriller Vadh. The film is directed by Jaspal Singh Sandhu and produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg under the banner of Luv Films.
Luv Films took to social media to announce the wrap-up, sharing a behind-the-scenes photo featuring Mishra, Gupta, and director Jaspal Singh Sandhu engrossed in a script discussion. The caption read,
“That’s a wrap on #Vadh2! Truly grateful for the memories created, the magic witnessed and the incredible team that brought it all to life.”
Sanjay Mishra, reflecting on the journey, expressed that Vadh was more than just a film—it was a powerful cinematic experience that continued to resonate long after its release.
“Vadh was not just a film, it was a cinematic experience that stayed with us and even the audience. To see it evolve into a franchise is both humbling and exciting. Working once again under Jaspal’s direction has been truly inspiring—his vision brings depth to every moment,” Mishra shared in a statement.
Neena Gupta also opened up about her experience, praising the unique storytelling and direction.
“It’s rare to find stories with such a unique voice. Jaspal [Singh Sandhu] has an eye for truth and tension that makes him a standout storyteller. I am so proud to be part of this journey once again and excited for the audiences to see what we have in store for them in Vadh 2,” Gupta said.
Earlier this year, the team sought blessings for the project at the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj by participating in a holy dip at the sacred Sangam Ghat, marking an auspicious start to the film’s journey.
Vadh 2 is slated for release in 2025 and promises to deliver another gripping chapter filled with suspense and emotional depth.
