The action thriller, which was initially eyeing an October 2026 release, may now be pushed back to early 2027.

August 14, 2025: Fans of Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan, who were excited to see him back on the big screen, may have to wait a bit longer. Reports say that the making of his next action movie, King, has been put on hold since he hurt his shoulder during filming a tough action scene.

The movie, which started filming in June, is Khan’s first movie since Dunki came out in 2023. Sources from the production team say that the injury has forced the actor to take some time off, and the team doesn’t want to start filming again until he is completely healed because the movie is so physically demanding.

The movie was supposed to come out in October 2026, but insiders say that deadline is now in danger. The delay in filming could mean that the movie doesn’t come out until late 2026 or perhaps early 2027.

Siddharth Anand directed the movie, which also includes Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan in her first role on the big screen. Shah Rukh Khan and the production team haven’t said anything formally yet, but the news has already gotten a lot of attention from his admirers, who are hoping for a quick recovery.
