Actress Shilpa Shinde has launched a sharp attack on television show producers, describing them as a “mafia” and accusing them of withholding actors’ payments for extended periods. In a recent video shared on her Instagram, the actress reacted to actor Shehzada Dhami’s claim that he is still owed ₹30 lakh by the makers of his show, reigniting debate over payment practices in the TV industry.

Shilpa alleged that producers in the television industry function like “white-collar mafias” and claimed that they often delay payments to actors for as long as 90 days. She further stated that artists are left with limited options to speak out, as their dues are controlled by the same production houses they depend on for work.

According to the actress, those who refuse to comply with such systems are allegedly threatened or sidelined in the industry. She added that projects may also be affected professionally if individuals speak against the system, making it difficult for actors to raise their voices freely.

Shilpa also questioned why television actors do not support each other during disputes and referred to recent incidents, including the alleged suicide case of actress Sanchita Ugale. She expressed disappointment over what she described as a lack of unity within the industry, stating that even when opportunities arise to stand together, actors often remain silent.

She further claimed that she herself did not receive support during past controversies and said that many people are unaware of the struggles she went through. Shilpa also remarked that some individuals continue to work in the industry despite facing serious allegations, while justice remains unaddressed.

Her comments come shortly after she faced backlash over a separate controversy in which she admitted that earlier sexual harassment allegations made against the makers of Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai were false. The revelation, made during a podcast appearance, triggered widespread criticism on social media and brought renewed attention to her past statements.

The latest remarks have once again placed Shilpa Shinde at the center of industry debate, with her allegations sparking conversations about payment delays, working conditions, and accountability in the television sector.
