March 18, 2025: The younger brother of late Punjabi singer and rapper Sidhu Moosewala celebrated his first birthday on Monday, a poignant moment for the family and loved ones. The birthday celebration took place with family and close friends, including former Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, who shared a video from the event on his Instagram account.
In the video, the toddler can be seen in the arms of his mother, Charan Kaur, as the family gathered around to cut the birthday cake. After the cake-cutting, Channi offered a piece of cake to the young boy, who was dressed in a black kurta, pyjama, and a pink turban. A large cutout of Sidhu Moosewala adorned the background, accompanied by colorful balloons, adding a celebratory touch to the heartfelt occasion. In another clip, Balkaur Singh, Sidhu’s father, stood beside his wife and son, reflecting the family’s bond during this emotional celebration.
Balkaur Singh had announced the arrival of the newborn last year, sharing glimpses of his younger son on Instagram. The post was accompanied by a heartfelt caption in Punjabi, where Balkaur expressed gratitude for the blessings received, saying, "With the blessings of millions of souls who love Shubdeep, the Almighty has put Shubh's younger brother in our lap. With the blessings of Waheguru, the family is healthy, and I'm thankful to all the well-wishers for their immense love."
Sidhu Moosewala, the beloved artist, tragically lost his life on May 29, 2022, in Mansa, after being shot in a targeted attack. The 28-year-old singer was hit by over 30 rounds from assailants. His untimely death left a deep void, but his family continues to honor his legacy, as seen in the warm celebration of his younger brother's first birthday.
