Spider-Man: Brand New Day To Release In India A Day Early; Tom Holland Returns As Marvel’s Web-Slinger

Marvel fans in India have a reason to celebrate. Sony Pictures Entertainment India has announced that Spider-Man: Brand New Day, starring Tom Holland, will hit Indian cinemas on July 30, one day before its worldwide release on July 31.

The highly anticipated superhero film marks the fourth standalone Spider-Man movie featuring Holland as Peter Parker and is expected to be one of the biggest Hollywood releases of 2026.

India Release Date Confirmed

Sony Pictures Entertainment India confirmed that Spider-Man: Brand New Day will open in theatres across India on July 30. The film will be available in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.

Audiences will also be able to watch the movie in both 2D and 3D formats, including premium large-screen formats.

Tom Holland Returns As Peter Parker

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the film sees Holland reprise his role as Spider-Man following the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home.

The movie also brings back several familiar faces, including:

  • Sadie Sink

  • Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk

What Is Spider-Man: Brand New Day About?

The story takes place four years after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, where Peter Parker chose to erase himself from the memories of everyone he loved in order to protect the multiverse.

Now living in isolation, Peter attempts to balance his everyday life with his responsibilities as Spider-Man. However, he soon encounters a powerful new threat while dealing with unexpected physical changes brought on by the demands of his superhero lifestyle.

The film is expected to explore a darker and more mature chapter in Peter Parker’s journey while introducing new challenges and characters to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

A Major MCU Milestone

Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be the 38th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and is being produced by Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal.

With Holland’s return, the addition of fan-favourite Marvel characters, and an earlier Indian release, the film is expected to generate significant excitement among superhero fans ahead of its theatrical debut.
