The controversies surrounding MTV Splitsvilla 16 have reached a boiling point as contestant Diksha Pawar released a scathing video on Monday, April 20, 2026, accusing the network of extreme bias and unethical editing.

Diksha, visibly emotional, slammed the channel with the statement, “MTV walon ko is cheez pe sharam aani chahiye” (MTV people should be ashamed), alleging that the producers prioritized TRPs over the physical safety and religious sentiments of the participants. She claimed that the broadcast intentionally omitted footage where she was allegedly choked and scratched, and instead, used “horrible editing” to misrepresent her character.

The most serious allegations involve a “Religion Remarks Row” that has sparked outrage across social media. Diksha revealed that a bansuri (flute) she carries as prasad from Vrindavan was mocked by other contestants, leading to a video by a third party questioning her religious belongings.

She accused MTV of supporting this narrative for viewership, asking, “Kisi ke religion ka mazak banana kaha se TRP banana hota hai?” Furthermore, Diksha alleged a targeted campaign against her, claiming that she and her friends are receiving rape threats from online bots, yet the channel has remained silent on the harassment.

Adding fuel to the fire, Diksha questioned the neutrality of hosts Sunny Leone and Karan Kundrra. While the hosts claimed both sides were at fault during a major altercation, Diksha argued that the footage was heavily skewed to favor contestants Akanksha and Suzzane. She even shared “proof” on her YouTube channel—including voice notes from an alleged insider and photos of physical injuries—claiming her personal belongings were destroyed by other housemates without any intervention from the makers.
