Rumours about Tamil superstar Suriya entering politics have been put to rest after the All India Suriya Fans Club issued an official clarification, stating that the actor has no plans to join public life.

Speculation began after former fan club member R. Veeramani reportedly remarked that if “time and God decide,” no one could stop Suriya from becoming a people’s leader. His statement quickly sparked discussions on social media, with many wondering if the Karuppu star was preparing for a political debut.

Responding to the rumours, the All India Suriya Fans Club released a statement explaining that Veeramani’s comments reflected only his personal opinion and did not represent the organisation’s official stand.

The fan club also clarified that Veeramani has not been associated with its management for the past three years. It urged fans and the public not to believe unverified claims circulating online and to rely only on official announcements.

According to the statement, Suriya has no intention of entering politics. Instead, the actor remains committed to social service through the Agaram Foundation and other charitable initiatives, work that reportedly gives him immense satisfaction.

The clarification comes amid increasing speculation about actors entering politics in Tamil Nadu, particularly after actor Vijay launched his own political party.

Suriya Announces New Film

On the professional front, Suriya has officially announced his next project with Hombale Films. The film will be directed by T.J. Gnanavel, marking their second collaboration after the critically acclaimed Jai Bhim.

Earlier this year, Suriya also enjoyed major box office success with Karuppu, directed by RJ Balaji and co-starring Trisha. The film emerged as one of the year’s biggest Tamil hits, further strengthening the actor’s position in the industry.
