What the Trailer Shows
The trailer follows Aman Indra Kumar’s character as he falls in love with Akanksha Sharma’s character. However, before he can win her over, he must first gain the approval of her father, played by Paresh Rawal.
To impress him, Aman strikes up an unexpected friendship with the protective father, leading to a series of humorous situations and family-oriented moments.
The trailer concludes with a recreation of the iconic train sequence from Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, serving as a tribute to Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol’s legendary romance.
Mixed Response From Viewers
Despite its commercial and family-entertainer setup, the trailer has received a largely mixed response on social media.
Several viewers felt the film appeared dated in terms of its presentation, with criticism aimed at the screenplay, dialogues, editing, background music and overall execution.
While some users appreciated Paresh Rawal’s comic timing and screen presence, many believed that even the veteran actor could not fully elevate the material shown in the trailer.
Aman Indra Kumar’s Debut Under Scrutiny
The trailer has also sparked discussion around Aman Indra Kumar’s acting debut.
Although many viewers acknowledged that a trailer alone cannot fully judge an actor’s abilities, several social media users felt the promotional video did not showcase enough of his potential as a leading man.

Soon after the trailer was released, viewers shared their opinions on X, with reactions ranging from disappointment to cautious optimism.
One user wrote that the trailer was “disappointing,” adding that while the music and title were appealing, the overall presentation failed to leave a strong impression.

With just weeks remaining before its theatrical release, Tera Yaar Hoon Main will be hoping to generate stronger audience interest through its songs and upcoming promotional campaign ahead of its July 24, 2026 release.
