Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi’s Telugu action-drama ‘Thandel’ witnesses a steady increase in collections on Day 9, inching closer to the ₹75 crore mark globally.
February 16, 2025: Thandel Sees Growth in Box Office Numbers. The Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi-starrer Thandel has seen a positive trend at the box office on its second Saturday (Day 9), earning ₹2.50 crore. With this, the film’s total worldwide collection now stands at ₹71.25 crore, while its domestic net collection is at ₹51.55 crore.

- Day 1: ₹11.5 crore
- Day 2: ₹12.1 crore

- Week 1 Total: ₹49.4 crore

While Thandel had a strong opening weekend, it saw a significant drop in the weekdays, losing nearly 65% of its audience by Day 4. However, the film bounced back over the second weekend, indicating renewed interest among moviegoers.
Thandel’s Success and Themes
Directed by Chandu Mondeti, Thandel narrates the gripping story of fishermen from Srikakulam who accidentally drift into Pakistani waters, leading to a tale of love, revenge, and patriotism. The film’s music, composed by Devi Sri Prasad, has been a huge hit, with songs like Bujji Thalli and Highlessa Highlessa going viral.
OTT Release Update
Reports suggest that Thandel will soon make its way to Netflix for digital streaming, with a potential March 2025 OTT release. However, an official announcement is still awaited.
