A suspected mass food poisoning incident has temporarily halted the film’s shoot, though an insider has clarified that the cause was a local contamination issue, not production negligence.

August 21, 2025: There was a significant health problem on the set of Ranveer Singh’s next movie, Dhurandhar in Leh. Over 100 employees had to go to the hospital. The folks who were hurt were rushed to Sajal Narbu Memorial (SNM) Hospital immediately away on August 17 because they were in so much pain in their stomachs, were throwing up, and had headaches.

People first thought that the ailment was caused by substandard food and sloppy work by the people who made it. But later, an insider indicated that the illness was caused by a bigger environmental problem in the area. “This is one of the biggest movies being made right now,” the source told Bollywood Bubble, refuting claims that the movie was being created to save money. “This happened because there was a problem with local pollution.”

Officials at the hospital indicate that most of the crew members were treated and subsequently returned home in stable condition, and there were no deaths. The event, which apparently also affected several kids who were there, forced the film’s production schedule to be put on hold for a brief time. There hasn’t been an official comment from the production, but those close to the team indicate that director Aditya Dhar has been watching things himself. The Food Safety Department is investigating into the situation, and food samples from the set have been sent to a lab to find out what caused the contamination.
