Bollywood star Kangana Ranaut, amidst her political journey as a BJP candidate for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, took a spiritual detour, meeting the Dalai Lama in Dharamshala.
Sharing her profound experience with ANI, Ranaut described the encounter as “divine,” expressing deep gratitude for the opportunity. She emphasized the awe-inspiring presence and sheer divinity surrounding the spiritual leader, making it an emotional moment for her and ex-CM Jairam Thakur.
Ranaut’s visit to Dharamshala sheds light on her spiritual side, drawing attention alongside her political aspirations. The actor also shared her reflections on the visit via Instagram.
Her decision to contest from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, renowned for its political significance, adds intrigue to the upcoming elections. Mandi, historically a Congress stronghold, presents a challenging battleground for Ranaut as she steps into politics.
The upcoming polls in Himachal Pradesh, slated for June 1, not only involve the battle for four Lok Sabha seats but also feature contests for six Assembly seats left vacant after Congress MLAs were disqualified.
The BJP aims to maintain its dominance in the region, eyeing victory once again after securing all four LS seats in 2019. The election results, anticipated with bated breath, will be unveiled during the counting process on June 4.
The Mandi constituency holds symbolic value, being considered a bastion of the late former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh’s family. Currently held by Pratibha Devi Singh, wife of the late leader, the seat witnessed a bye-election in 2021 following the passing of BJP MP Ram Swaroop Sharma.
On the professional front, Kangana Ranaut gears up for her next project, ‘Emergency,’ which also marks her directorial debut.
