Mallika on Facing Harassment on Set

In the resurfaced video, Mallika recalls filming a major blockbuster in Dubai with a large star cast. “I was shooting for a big film in Dubai, a multi-starrer film. It’s a super hit, and people really liked it. I had a comedic role in it. The hero of that film used to knock on my door at midnight—so hard that I thought he was going to break it down. He wanted to come into my bedroom, and I refused. After that, he never worked with me again,” the actress revealed. She chose not to name the actor involved.

For what reason?’ They would respond, ‘You play bold roles on-screen, so what’s the problem?’ They assumed that because I portrayed daring characters, I would behave similarly off-screen,” she added, shedding light on the struggles she faced behind the scenes.
