CCTV footage from the mall shows Abhijeet pacing nervously near the glass railing on the fourth floor around 9:14 am. He approaches the edge twice—once stopping himself and the other time changing direction. Just five minutes later, at 9:19 am, he returns with more urgency, climbs the railing, and jumps.
Police received a distress call around 9:30 am. “Our team reached within five to eight minutes, and he was rushed to a hospital. We were later informed of his death,” a senior police official said.
Abhijeet’s father confirmed to the authorities that the teenager had been battling depression. He was the middle child, with both an elder and younger brother.

The tragic incident has sparked conversations around mental health, especially among teenagers, with authorities urging families to be vigilant and seek help when needed.
