How to Participate: A 3-Step Process

To ensure your suggestions on fitment factors and salary hikes are heard, follow this protocol:

  1. Submit Memorandum: All inputs must be uploaded to the official portal at 8cpc.gov.in.
  2. Request Appointment: Once a unique memorandum ID is generated, stakeholders must request a meeting slot via the portal or the designated emails.
  3. Adhere to Deadlines: The portal will close for these specific sessions on April 20, 2026. Only timely submissions will be considered for the physical consultation rounds.

Why These Consultations Matter

The 8th Pay Commission was notified on January 17, 2025, and is expected to be implemented starting January 1, 2026. These meetings are the primary platform for unions to lobby for a higher fitment factor—the multiplier used to arrive at the new basic pay—and to address disparities in allowances and pension structures.
