Ceiling Fan Falls On Patient During Treatment At GTB Hospital
A 42-year-old patient admitted to the emergency ward of Delhi's Guru Teg Bahadur (GTB) Hospital died hours after a ceiling fan allegedly fell on him while he was undergoing treatment on Saturday night. The patient, identified as Md Akbar, had been admitted on July 18 with complaints of hypertension, meningoencephalitis and aspiration pneumonia, according to hospital staff familiar with the case.

Fresh questions have emerged over activist Sonam Wangchuk's medical treatment after his wife sought to shift him from Delhi's Safdarjung Hospital, alleging a lack of transparency in his treatment and health reports. Wangchuk, who has completed 20 days of his indefinite hunger strike, was admitted to the hospital after being removed from Jantar Mantar by Delhi Police on Saturday.
