August 11, 2025: On Monday, there was a dramatic moment when Akhilesh Yadav, the head of the Samajwadi Party, vaulted over a police roadblock during a protest march by the opposition INDIA group.

The lawmakers, led by Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, were marching from Parliament to the Election Commission of India (ECI) to protest what they said was “voter fraud” in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral registers in Bihar.
Police Block the March

The Delhi Police put up barricades to stop the protest soon after it started. The police had already said that no one had asked for or been given authorization for the march. The fight got worse, and Yadav jumped over the barricade. This was caught on film and instantly went viral.

The opposition alliance is criticizing what they say are major problems with the election process, such as “voter fraud” and the ECI not being open about things.
