A political controversy erupted in Chandigarh after Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Congress, and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) accused Chandigarh BJP president Jatinder Pal Malhotra of making an anti-Punjabi remark.
Tension gripped the Bairagiwala area of Vikasnagar in Dehradun district after a BJP Yuva Morcha leader was allegedly beaten to death during a dispute over irrigation water. According to preliminary reports, the conflict began over the distribution of water to agricultural fields and escalated into a violent clash between two groups.
