May 20, 2026: A fresh political confrontation has erupted between the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Congress after controversial remarks made by Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi during his visit to Rae Bareli triggered strong reactions from the ruling party. The row revolves around criticism aimed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over inflation, foreign visits and the government’s economic policies.
