The incident comes amid a sudden change in weather conditions, with torrential rain and strong winds lashing multiple parts of the national capital late Friday night.
This is the second construction-related tragedy reported in recent days. Last week, a six-floor under-construction building in Madhu Vihar saw part of its wall collapse during a dust storm, resulting in one fatality and two injuries.
Additional DCP (East) Vineet Kumar stated, “We received a PCR call around 7 pm regarding a wall collapse during the dust storm. Sadly, one person lost their life, and two others were injured and taken to the hospital.”
Authorities have urged residents in older and under-construction buildings to stay alert during adverse weather conditions.
