The anticipation for the CBSE Class 12 Board Results 2026 is reaching its peak. While the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) took many by surprise by releasing the Class 10 results early on April 15, the Class 12 results are still under wraps.

According to the latest updates from board officials, students can expect their marksheets to be made available by the third week of May. This timeline aligns with the board’s efforts to streamline the transition to higher education for millions of graduating seniors.

A major highlight of this year’s assessment cycle is the implementation of a digital evaluation system. For the first time, CBSE has transitioned to an on-screen marking system for Class 12 answer sheets.

Teachers were provided with specialized login credentials and underwent extensive mock drills in February to ensure the “no touch, no dust” digital process remained error-free. This shift is expected to enhance the accuracy of marking and significantly reduce the time required for results processing.

Once the results are officially declared, students can access their scores through multiple platforms. The official websites include cbseresults.nic.in, cbse.gov.in, and results.cbse.nic.in. Additionally, digital marksheets will be available on the DigiLocker portal and the UMANG app.

To maintain transparency, the board will continue its relative grading system, where grades are assigned based on a student’s rank within eight equal groups (octiles) of passing candidates, rather than fixed percentage brackets.
