Fresh negotiations began at the Constitution Club as CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke reiterated that the protest would continue until Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigns.
July 24, 2026: Fresh talks between leaders of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) and BJP ministers began at the Constitution Club in New Delhi on Friday as the Centre made another attempt to resolve the ongoing NEET protest. Ahead of the meeting, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke made it clear that the agitation would continue unless Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan stepped down. Dipke said the students’ movement was not linked to any political party and insisted that Pradhan’s resignation remained the protesters’ only demand.
Dipke also welcomed activist Sonam Wangchuk’s decision to end his hunger strike, while alleging that the government had earlier restricted access to him. He claimed that while Union Minister JP Nadda was able to meet Wangchuk, Opposition leaders and even CJP members were denied access. Dipke said he was relieved that Wangchuk had called off his fast after weeks of protest.
Warning of possible action by the authorities, Dipke alleged that the government was planning to detain protest leaders ahead of the weekend to prevent larger gatherings. He claimed such a move would only strengthen the movement, arguing that previous actions against protesters had increased public support. According to Dipke, the only way to end the agitation was for the government to accept the students’ demand and remove the Education Minister.
