Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan said youth-led movements like the Cockroach Janta Party reflect changing political aspirations
June 12, 2026: Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan shared his views on the emergence of the Cockroach Janta Party, describing it as part of a recurring cycle in which every generation seeks to reshape politics and society. Speaking about the growing visibility of youth-led political platforms, he said similar trends have appeared throughout history, with each generation bringing its own ideas, expectations and aspirations.
Pawan Kalyan stressed that instead of dismissing such movements, it is important to understand the reasons behind the frustration of young people. He revealed that he recently discussed the issue with his son and his friends to better understand how the younger generation views these developments. According to him, even if not everyone actively participates, the support for such platforms reflects a desire among many young citizens to express dissatisfaction and demand change.
Referring to the Cockroach Janta Party, Kalyan suggested that the movement may represent a form of dissent against existing political practices. He said many young people want a different style of politics that moves beyond regional divisions, destructive approaches and repetitive political narratives. While he neither endorsed nor rejected the movement, he noted that such developments should be viewed as indicators of changing political expectations and a growing demand for meaningful leadership and reform.
