A technical fault halted a train at Anand Vihar Metro Station, disrupting Blue Line services for nearly an hour before normal operations resumed.
June 30, 2026: Delhi Metro’s Blue Line services were disrupted for nearly an hour on Tuesday evening after a technical fault brought a train to a halt at Anand Vihar Metro Station. The disruption occurred during peak office hours, leaving hundreds of commuters stranded and resulting in long queues at multiple stations along the corridor.
The interruption affected train movement across the Blue Line, causing significant delays for passengers travelling home from work. While the disruption led to inconvenience for commuters, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) did not disclose the exact nature of the technical fault that caused the services to be affected.
Later in the evening, DMRC confirmed that normal operations had resumed. In a post on X, the metro operator stated, “Service Update. Normal services have resumed on Blue Line.” Metro services have since returned to schedule, although commuters experienced heavy congestion during the disruption.
