A 27-year-old software engineer from Delhi was found dead at a homestay in Mussoorie

June 15, 2026: A 27-year-old software engineer from Delhi was found dead at a homestay in Mussoorie on Monday morning while on vacation with her husband. The deceased, identified as P Radha Gayatri, lived in Shakarpur, East Delhi, and worked for an IT company in Gurugram. Her husband, Soumya Sricharan, is employed with a firm in Pune. The couple had married in November 2025 and had travelled to Uttarakhand for a holiday.

According to police, the couple left Delhi on June 13 and visited Rishikesh before reaching a homestay in the Kiana Tipridhar area on the Mussoorie-Dhanaulti road late on June 14. They checked into the property around 11:30 pm. Police said the couple consumed alcohol in their room before going to sleep at approximately 3:30 am.

Mussoorie police received information on Monday morning that a woman was in critical condition at the homestay. When officials and a medical team arrived, she was declared dead. Police said her husband reported finding her unresponsive and noticed blood coming from her mouth before alerting staff. A forensic team inspected the room and collected evidence. Authorities said blood stains were found inside the room, and all possible angles are being investigated. The body will be sent for postmortem examination after the arrival of the woman’s parents, while police await forensic and autopsy reports to determine the exact cause of death.
