Investigation intensifies after cash recovery, QR-code donation box, and a viral image of the accused’s brother emerge.
July 3, 2026: Special Investigation Team (SIT) is expected to visit Ayodhya as part of the ongoing investigation involving accused Avinash Shukla. The probe has gathered momentum after a photograph purportedly showing his brother, Amit Shukla, holding bundles of cash went viral on social media, adding a fresh dimension to the case.
According to reports, both Avinash and Amit Shukla had been staying at a local yoga centre, where authorities earlier recovered a large amount of cash along with a QR-code-linked donation box. The yoga centre is known to be attended by several women for yoga training, making the revelations all the more surprising for local residents.
People associated with the centre described Avinash Shukla as a quiet, disciplined and reserved individual who rarely interacted with others. They claimed he maintained a low profile and never exhibited any behaviour that would have suggested involvement in illegal activities.
Despite these accounts, investigators are now examining the financial trail and possible irregularities linked to the cash recovered from the premises. The viral image of Amit Shukla is also likely to be scrutinised as part of the investigation.
The case has attracted widespread attention following allegations that the recovered funds may have been connected to activities taking place at the yoga centre. With the SIT expected to inspect the site, enforcement agencies are continuing to investigate the source of the money and whether any financial misconduct was involved.
