DMRC To Start Metro Services Early For UPSC Exam Candidates

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation will start services at 6 am on select Metro corridors this Sunday to help UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination candidates

May 21, 2026: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Thursday announced that Metro services on select corridors will begin earlier than usual on Sunday to facilitate candidates appearing for the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination. According to DMRC, services on the Pink Line, Magenta Line and Grey Line will commence from 6 am on May 24 instead of the regular Sunday timing of 7 am.

The Pink Line connects Majlis Park and Shiv Vihar, while the Magenta Line operates between Krishna Park Extension and Botanical Garden, as well as between Deepali Chowk and Majlis Park. The Grey Line runs between Dhansa Bus Stand and Dwarka. DMRC said trains on these routes will operate at a frequency of 15 minutes between 6 am and 7 am, after which the normal Sunday schedule will resume.

The Metro corporation said the special arrangement has been made to ensure smooth travel for UPSC aspirants and help them reach their examination centres without inconvenience. DMRC also clarified that Metro services on all other lines will continue according to the regular Sunday timetable beginning from 6 am onwards.
