Sudden weather change brings relief from relentless summer heat as dust-laden winds and lightning sweep across Delhi-NCR
New Delhi, April 11:
After enduring several days of relentless heat, residents of Delhi and surrounding areas were greeted with a sudden dust storm and lightning strikes on Friday evening. The dramatic shift in weather brought a wave of relief to citizens battling extreme temperatures, with winds carrying dust and storm clouds developing rapidly across the region.

Areas such as Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad, and Faridabad also experienced strong gusts of wind, flashes of lightning, and a visible dip in temperature, offering a much-needed break from the searing heatwave.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had earlier predicted a western disturbance that could cause localized thunderstorms and dust activity in parts of northwestern India, including the national capital.

Authorities have advised caution due to reduced visibility and loose debris caused by the gusty winds. While light rainfall was reported in patches, the sudden weather change is not expected to last long, with heatwave conditions likely to return early next week.
