A major fire erupted in Lucknow’s Aliganj area, prompting rescue operations and immediate intervention from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

June 22, 2026: A major fire broke out in a shop located in the Purnia area of Aliganj, Lucknow, causing panic among residents and people in the vicinity. Thick smoke and flames quickly spread through the building, where a coaching centre was operating on the upper floor at the time of the incident. According to reports, one person jumped from the building in an attempt to escape the fire and save his life.

Local residents rushed to help and began rescue efforts before emergency services arrived at the scene. Fire brigade personnel and police teams later launched a coordinated operation to control the blaze and evacuate individuals who may have been trapped inside the building. Authorities continue to assess the situation as firefighting operations remain underway.

Taking note of the incident, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed officials to immediately reach the site and expedite rescue and relief work. He instructed the administration to ensure proper medical treatment for the injured and maintain constant monitoring of the situation. The Chief Minister also wished those injured a speedy recovery and stressed the need for heightened vigilance until the situation is fully under control.
