Noida International Airport has launched direct flights to 16 Indian cities, improving connectivity for western Uttar Pradesh

July 2, 2026: Noida International Airport in Jewar has commenced direct flight operations to 16 cities across India, significantly enhancing air connectivity for western Uttar Pradesh and the Delhi-NCR region. The new network connects major destinations including Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Jammu, Amritsar, Dehradun, Dharamshala, Bareilly, Bhopal, Jodhpur and Pantnagar. The airport is also operating two daily flights to Pantnagar, improving access to Uttarakhand.

The launch is expected to provide major relief to residents of Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Mathura and Agra, who previously relied on Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport for domestic travel. Airlines including IndiGo and Akasa Air have begun services from the airport, which is expected to reduce travel time, lower congestion at Delhi Airport and improve connectivity for business travellers, students and tourists.

Commercial operations officially began with the arrival of an IndiGo flight from Lucknow, followed by the inaugural departure to Bengaluru. Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu flagged off the operations, while 170 farmers from the Jewar region were honoured with a special inaugural flight to Lucknow in recognition of their contribution to the airport project. Designed as one of India’s largest greenfield airports, Noida International Airport is expected to become a major aviation hub with future road, rail and metro connectivity.
