The wait for nearly four lakh students is almost over. The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) is expected to announce the ICSE Class 10 and ISC Class 12 results for 2026 by tomorrow, Thursday, April 30.
While an official notification regarding the exact hour is still awaited, board officials have hinted at an end-of-April release, consistent with the timeline followed in 2025. Once declared, students can access their scorecards on the official portals cisce.org and results.cisce.org.
Past Trends: Why April 30 is the Key Date
Historically, CISCE has moved its result declaration dates earlier over the last few years to facilitate smoother college admissions. In 2025, the results were declared on April 30, a significant shift from 2024 and 2023, when results were announced in the first and second weeks of May, respectively.
- 2025: April 30
- 2024: May 6
- 2023: May 14 This year, the ICSE exams concluded on March 30, and ISC exams ended on April 6, allowing the board sufficient time to complete evaluation and data processing by the final week of April.
How to Access Results and DigiLocker Integration
Students should keep their Unique ID (UID) and Index Number ready to avoid last-minute delays.
- Official Websites: Visit results.cisce.org or cisce.org and enter your credentials.
- DigiLocker: Verified digital marksheets will be available on the DigiLocker app and website. These digital copies are legally valid for admission purposes.
- SMS Service: To get results on your phone, text ICSE [7-digit Unique ID] or ISC [7-digit Unique ID] to 09248082883.
New Rules: Rechecking and Improvement Exams
For students not satisfied with their scores, the CISCE offers a robust rechecking mechanism.
Rechecking Window: The application for recheck must be submitted online within four days of the result declaration. A fee of ₹1,000 per subject is applicable.
No Compartment Exams: Following the policy shift in 2024, compartment exams have been replaced by Improvement Exams. Students can appear for a maximum of two subjects to improve their grades in the same academic year, typically held in July.
Passing Marks: Students must secure at least 33% to pass the ICSE (Class 10) exams and 35% for the ISC (Class 12) exams.
