A fresh controversy has emerged in the high-profile Ketan Agarwal murder case after accused Siya Goyal allegedly made obscene gestures at members of the media while being escorted by Pune Rural Police. The incident occurred after investigators took Goyal to her residence in Pune’s Market Yard area as part of the ongoing probe into the alleged murder of the 26-year-old realtor.
According to police, the visit to Siya Goyal’s residence was conducted to recover evidence linked to the investigation. During the search, officials reportedly seized clothes believed to have been worn on the day of Ketan Agarwal’s death. As she was leaving the premises under police escort, Goyal allegedly flashed her middle finger and made obscene gestures toward journalists gathered outside. Videos of the incident quickly surfaced on social media, drawing widespread attention.
The latest development comes as the investigation continues to uncover alleged digital and forensic evidence. Police claim that Goyal and co-accused Chetan Chaudhary had carefully planned the crime and even rehearsed the act of pushing Ketan Agarwal off a cliff before the incident. Investigators are relying on call records, deleted chats, location data, and forensic analysis to establish the alleged conspiracy. Authorities have also sought permission to conduct polygraph tests and gait analysis on both accused.
Several videos purportedly linked to Siya Goyal have also gone viral since her arrest. One clip appears to show her inside a nightclub during a heated phone conversation, while others allegedly capture her meeting co-accused Chetan Chaudhary at a café and attending a cricket match with him before Ketan’s death. However, police have not officially confirmed the authenticity or evidentiary value of these viral videos.
The case centres on the death of 26-year-old Pune-based realtor Ketan Agarwal, who died after falling from a cliff at Lohagad Fort on June 18. Initially believed to be an accidental fall, the investigation later took a dramatic turn when Pune Rural Police alleged it was a premeditated murder.
Police have accused Ketan Agarwal’s fiancée, Siya Goyal, and her alleged lover, Chetan Chaudhary, of conspiring to kill him. Investigators claim the two were in a relationship and viewed Ketan as an obstacle to their future together. According to the police, the alleged murder was meticulously planned, with rehearsals conducted at another hillock before the fatal incident at Lohagad Fort.
The investigation remains ongoing, and the allegations against the accused have not yet been tested in court. Authorities continue to gather evidence as the case progresses through the legal process.
