Patna Police have filed a case against educator Khan Sir after a detained security guard allegedly claimed he opened fire on the teacher’s instructions

June 5, 2026: Popular educator Faisal Khan, popularly known as Khan Sir, has been booked by Patna Police in connection with an alleged firing incident linked to his coaching institute, Khan Global Studies (KGS). An FIR has been registered at Kadamkuan Police Station under charges of attempt to murder and provisions of the Arms Act. The case was filed after two security guards associated with the institute were detained, with one of them reportedly confessing during interrogation that he opened fire on Khan Sir’s instructions.

Police officials said the weapons allegedly used in the firing have been recovered and sent for forensic examination. Investigators are analysing evidence and reconstructing the sequence of events to determine how the incident unfolded. According to sources, statements made by the detained guards played a key role in the decision to register the case against the educator. Authorities said further action will depend on forensic findings and the ongoing probe.

The controversy stems from an attack on the coaching institute on Tuesday night, when a group of around 15 to 20 people allegedly vandalised the premises and pelted stones. Following the incident, Khan Sir accused individuals linked to a rival coaching institute of being behind the violence. Police have already arrested three people in connection with the vandalism, including the director of a rival coaching centre. Investigators are simultaneously probing both the attack on the institute and the alleged firing episode.
