The Madhya Pradesh High Court has permitted a second postmortem in the death case of model and actress Twisha Sharma amid questions surrounding the initial forensic findings.

May 22, 2026: The Madhya Pradesh High Court has granted permission for a re-postmortem in the death case of Twisha Sharma, allowing authorities to conduct a fresh medical examination as scrutiny around the case continues. The second postmortem is expected to take place either at All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi or at a medical facility in Jammu.

The court’s decision follows demands for another forensic examination after concerns were reportedly raised regarding the earlier postmortem findings. Officials are now expected to complete legal formalities and coordinate arrangements for transferring the body for the procedure. The fresh examination is likely to play a key role in determining the exact circumstances surrounding Sharma’s death.

Twisha Sharma, a model and actress, reportedly met Samarth Singh through a dating application in 2024. The couple got married in December 2025. Sharma was found hanging at her marital home in the Katara Hills area of Bhopal on May 12.
