From July 11 to 25, a 4-km route in Noida will be secured for Kanwar pilgrims with traffic curbs, medical camps, CCTV surveillance, and coordination between police and civic bodies.
Noida, July 11, 2025 – To ensure smooth and safe passage for thousands of Kanwar Yatra pilgrims, the Noida Police have announced traffic diversions, emergency medical arrangements, and increased security deployment along a 4-km route in the city from July 11 to July 25.

Pilgrims entering from Mayur Vihar, passing by the Shani Temple and Okhla Bird Sanctuary, and exiting at Kalindi Kunj, will travel through the designated route. Authorities have coordinated with departments such as health, electricity, and the Noida Authority to streamline the arrangements.
🚧 Traffic Restrictions and Diversions
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Lakhan Singh Yadav:
- Goods carriers will be barred from entering city roads from 10 PM on July 11 to July 25.
- These vehicles will be diverted to the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway and the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.
- Elevated Road, DND Flyway, and Kalindi Kunj will restrict heavy vehicles.
- No traffic will be allowed from Chilla Red Light to Okhla Bird Sanctuary via Shani Temple during the period.
🩺 Medical Support and Infrastructure Safety
The Health Department will deploy:
- 8 ambulances
- Medical camps staffed by 16 doctors, 16 pharmacists, and 16 ward boys along the route
Meanwhile, the Power Department has insulated 600+ electric poles and 50 transformers to prevent accidents during the pilgrimage.

📹 CCTV Monitoring and Control Room
A dedicated control room has been set up near Sector 14A, with round-the-clock surveillance via CCTV cameras. Police presence will be bolstered with:
- City Police
- Traffic Police
- Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) personnel
🔈 DJ Operators and Event Guidelines
During a pre-event meeting, DJ operators and event organisers were strictly advised:
- Not to exceed 10 feet in height and 12 feet in width for DJ setups
- To keep volume within legal decibel limits as mandated by court
- Follow all event safety norms to avoid disruptions
