Dehradun Police have arrested four accused in connection with the murder of BJP functionary Vinod Kumar in Uttarakhand's Vikasnagar area. The accused, identified as Razzaq, Salman, Javed and Shahbaz, were taken into custody after a violent attack in Bairagiwala village left Kumar dead and three of his family members seriously injured.
Tension gripped the Bairagiwala area of Vikasnagar in Dehradun district after a BJP Yuva Morcha leader was allegedly beaten to death during a dispute over irrigation water. According to preliminary reports, the conflict began over the distribution of water to agricultural fields and escalated into a violent clash between two groups.
