AAP MP rejects claims of non-cooperation and says accusations are coordinated and misleading

April 4, 2026: Raghav Chadha has alleged that a “scripted campaign” is being run against him, dismissing the accusations from within the Aam Aadmi Party as coordinated and repetitive. He said the similarities in language and timing of the allegations suggested a planned effort to target him, adding that he chose to respond now to prevent repeated claims from being accepted as truth.

Addressing the charges, Chadha refuted the allegation that he does not participate in Opposition walkouts, calling it “completely false” and challenging anyone to provide evidence to the contrary. He also denied claims that he refused to sign an impeachment motion against the Chief Election Commissioner, stating that no such request was ever made to him. Questioning the narrative, he pointed out that several other party MPs had also not signed the motion, yet the focus remained solely on him.

Rejecting accusations that he avoids raising serious issues, Chadha said his role in Parliament is to speak responsibly rather than create disruptions. The controversy has intensified internal tensions within the party, with both sides exchanging sharp remarks over his conduct and responsibilities, indicating a growing rift within the AAP leadership.
